Sunday funday! I met my sister-in-law for coffee and questionably expired coffee creamer. We decided it would either be fine or a really good instant diet. I love our visits when she is in town; FaceTime dates are nice, but they aren’t the same. My women’s meeting today was at the new location. I’m so grateful for everyone who put in lots of time and effort to clean up the building and make it a welcoming place for our meetings.

After the meeting, I went to my daughter’s house to meet her and drive over to see her horses. She was telling me about her frustrations with Chivato Rose (Chevy). She needs to start over with groundwork to remember her manners and not get spooked so easily. Suddenly, I had an idea! Good or bad is yet to be determined. I’m starting a new chapter in my life, trying to think of an outdoor hobby for the spring and summer. It seems Chevy also needs to start a new chapter in her life. Why not do it together? Two old mares starting over with groundwork.

I want and need to be realistic with my goals for this project, so I’m giving it until the end of the fall season for us to be comfortable with each other and able to go on trail rides. This also means overcoming my fear of heights, which I’ve developed over the years. I think the hard work will be good for both of us and keep us active while the weather is warm. Plus, I’ve got a great trainer! What could go wrong? Yes…I have met myself and I am shaking my head as I write this.
