No Burning Bush Required

I’ve come to realize I’m not waiting around for some big, spiritual moment to blow my mind. I’m not expecting a burning bush or some kind of holy thunderbolt. And honestly, I don’t need one.

What I appreciate are the small miracles that come from being willing to connect with my Higher Power each day. It’s not dramatic—it’s more like a quiet, familiar conversation with an old friend. No folded hands or formal prayers, just me being honest, showing up, and staying open.

Since getting sober and learning to pay attention, I notice the little ways my Higher Power communicates with me. When I’m feeling something uncomfortable or I’m not sure what direction to go, I’ll suddenly read something in my daily readings that speaks directly to my situation. Or I’ll show up to a meeting and the topic hits me right between the eyes. It’s never a coincidence—it’s grace.

Those are the moments that remind me I’m not alone. That this relationship doesn’t have to be loud to be real. I don’t need fire from the sky. I just need willingness, awareness, and a little quiet space to listen.

I’m excited for Friday night alumni and Sonic shakes after with all my sober drunks!
