I had my weekly meeting with my sponsor this morning to work on my steps. Reading the big book out loud with another person allows me to pick up on information that I missed when I read it on my own.
This afternoon I got to spend time with some girlfriends. We played with beads, snacked on yummy treats, caught up on each other’s lives, and watched the dogs sleep. They are not spoiled at all! Mr. Yogi was featured on the I Love My Havanese Facebook page a few days ago and is now featured here, on this page. The fame isn’t phasing him.
I thought I had a lot of beads, but Teresa’s collection puts mine to shame. We made window decorations, rearview mirror decorations, and magnetic bracelets. Well, Teresa mostly made them, we were a great support system. I started a lanyard for my daughter’s work badge.
She started her new job with the school district last week and I am unbelievably proud of her. She is an amazing young woman now teaching elementary and middle school-aged kids. I know she will have a positive impact on them. I am very grateful that I am sober to watch her grow in her own journey of life.
