Sometimes, plans go to hell in an Easter basket. I woke up at 4 a.m. to get ready for the busy day. Instead, I felt like my guts were being wrung out like a dirty washcloth. I cancelled breakfast plans, took some medicine, and made up a bed on the couch for a nap. My second attempt to start the day was better but slow going. I didn’t end up making it to the women’s meeting.
I went to Kuna to visit my daughter and her boyfriend. I finally got to meet his family, who were all very nice, and I even made plans with his mom to have dinner soon and talk trash about the kids. After that, I dropped off the last three Easter baskets I had way too much fun making for kiddos. There was so much food today, I made a huge plate of leftovers and headed home to my comfy bed on the couch, where I promptly fell asleep cuddling with the dogs. So here I am, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, just shy of midnight. My stomach feels a little better, and I will be well-rested tomorrow. It just goes to show that I am not the director of this show. I can make all the plans I want; God just laughs.
