More early more ramblings from a crazy woman. Ha! See what I did there? I’m not wealthy, but I am rich. I’m rich because I have a lot of love to give, and I try to make more out of less with it. I show my love through acts of kindness and love.
I can’t buy you a pony, but I can buy you a My Little Pony and find someone who owns a pony to take you to visit. I can’t take you out to dinner at a 5-star restaurant, but I can sure as hell go to the store to make you steak and lobster dinner at home. I can’t solve world hunger alone, but I can volunteer at the Rescue Mission. Contrary to popular belief, I can’t adopt all the homeless pets, but I can adopt a few and volunteer at the Animal Shelter. I can’t take away your pain, but I can empathize and listen or offer a shoulder to cry on when you need it. I can’t accomplish your goals, but I can celebrate with you when you accomplish your goals. I can’t make you stay sober, but I can be your biggest cheerleader and support you.
I don’t always feel capable of doing these things but it’s practice, not perfection. Imagine if everyone looked at each other and thought ‘What more can I do for that person’ instead of ‘I have less than that person, there’s nothing I can do for them’. I think it would be a happier world with less hate if everyone tried to make more out of less.
