It’s not that I didn’t want to go to the women’s meeting this morning. It’s that I didn’t want to get ready and leave the house. Not because I was trying to isolate—just because it’s Sunday morning, and pajamas are so damn comfy on Sundays.

I remembered it was a speaker meeting and how much I enjoy and look forward to the Sunday meetings. They recharge and reset me for the week ahead.

As soon as I pulled into the parking lot and recognized the familiar cars, then the familiar faces, I was instantly happy and grateful I’d made the effort to come. The speaker shared her story in a soft, honest way that was easy for all of us to relate to.

Afterward, a few of my friends and I decided to check out the art fair at a nearby park. It was a beautiful afternoon, and there was so much talent all in one place—artists crammed into tiny back-to-back booths, sharing their passion with everyone who walked by.

It felt so good to hang out with the girls and not worry about anything.
